Web developer

About The Job:

We are looking for an experienced web developer to create and maintain new web application and development and also work with our Web development team.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Specific Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

You will work with customers to gather requirements and create specifications, then implement, deploy and maintain applications. Your applications will support organizations, and you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of clients. You will also collaborate with other web application developers to maintain shared code and modernize web application resources. You will be expected to take projects from inception to completion, as well as develop, deploy and maintain applications in Linux based systems.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Position typically requires a bachelor's or master's degree in information technology (or related field) and six to eight years of experience. 

• Interact with customers and manage customer relations. 

• Take in a stream of work requests, manage customer expectations, set deadlines and meet those deadlines. 

• Expert proficiency in HTML5 & CSS3. 

• Expert proficiency in object-oriented programming with PHP or similar. 

• Experience with Node.js. 

• Expert proficiency with relational and non-relational databases such as MySQL and MongoDB. 

• Expert proficiency in DOM manipulation, client-side JavaScript and JavaScript frameworks. 

• Experience working with server-side frameworks such as Symfony and Express. 

• Experience working with SPA frameworks such as Angular. 

• Mastery of the Linux environment, using CLI package managers and version control

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Active Q Clearance

• Master’s degree is preferred.

• Experience with web analytics software such as Google Analytics. 

• Understanding of search engine accessibility and optimization. 

• Demonstrated experience in project management and peer mentorship. 

• Demonstrated experience with mobile-first design. 

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
